Featured vocalist, Kimberly Larsen is the most recent addition to the list of vocal talent joining the Allouez Village Band.  She is a graduate of St. Norbert College in De Pere and won the title of Miss Wisconsin in 2010 as Miss Green Bay Area.

Larsen will perform three selections, “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina,” “Blue Moon” and “You Raise Me Up.”

Selections for the evening include “Summon the Heroes,” by John Williams which was written for the 100th anniversary of the modern Olympic Games.  Movie and Broadway music will include “Selections from Aladdin” and “Disney at the Movies,” featuring music from nearly a dozen of Disney’s favorite films. “Chester, Overture for Band” was composed by William Schuman, who received the Kennedy Center Honor in 1989 “for an extraordinary lifetime of contributions to American culture.” His piece is based on a 1778 anthem which was adopted by the Continental Army and sung around campfires during the American Revolution. “Arlington, Where Giants Lie Sleeping” by Paul Murtha is a moving tribute to generations of American servicemen and women buried at Arlington National Cemetery near Washington, D.C.
